How long is an appointment?
Osteopathic appointments are usually 30 minutes and sports therapy and remedial massage appointments are 45 minutes; during your first appointment your practitioner will:
Take a detailed history from you;
Carry out a physical examination;
Explain what is happening; and
Give some hands-on treatment.
Before your first appointment you will need to complete a few forms, so please arrive a few minutes early.
At subsequent appointments, your practitioner will reassess your symptoms and you will tend to have more hands-on treatment.
60 minute osteopathic consultations are available at extra cost. Your practitioner may recommend that you are treated simultaneously by two osteopaths. This will incur an extra cost.
