How long is an appointment?
Osteopathic appointments are usually 30 minutes and sports and remedial massage appointments are either 45 minutes or 30 minutes. First appointments may be longer.
During your first appointment your practitioner will:
Take a detailed history from you;
Carry out a physical examination;
Explain what is happening; and
Give some hands-on treatment.
Before your first appointment you will need to complete a few forms, so please arrive a few minutes early.
At subsequent appointments, your practitioner will reassess your symptoms and you will tend to have more hands-on treatment.
60 minute osteopathic consultations are available at extra cost. Your practitioner may recommend that you are treated simultaneously by two osteopaths. This will incur an extra cost.
